Talk of the Town by Jennifer Bardsley (Interview & Giveaway)

I am thrilled to be hosting a spot on the TALK OF THE TOWN by Jennifer Bardsley. This blog tour is hosted by Rockstar Book Tours. Check out my interview with the author below, and make sure to enter the giveaway!

ABOUT THE BOOK

In this lighthearted romance filled with small-town humor and high jinks, an unsuspecting real estate agent becomes the wildest dream come true for all the single moms—except the one he wants.

They’re coworkers, friends, and confidants, but Peter Marshal has always pined for a little something more with Noelle Walters. As a widow and a single mom, Noelle prefers to play it safe, and falling for Peter was never part of the plan.

Then again, neither of their plans accounted for the well-meaning but meddling actions of Peter’s sister, who offers him up as their town’s most eligible bachelor in the local moms’ Facebook group. He’s none the wiser about the source of this sudden surge in attention, but he only has eyes for Noelle. And from where she’s standing on the sidelines of Peter’s popularity, it’s getting harder to pretend that she doesn’t see what everyone else sees in her best friend.

With all eyes on them, will Peter and Noelle finally see beyond the hurdles to the happily ever after that’s been there all along?

INTERVIEW WITH JENNIFER BARDSLEY

What’s your new book about?

It’s about a Little League coach named Peter who suddenly becomes the hottest bachelor in town but doesn’t know why. The secret? His sister is advertising for him on the local Facebook moms group. Now, all the single moms in town have their eyes on him, except for a young widow named Noelle whom he secretly adores.

Is it a standalone or part of a series?

Talk of the Town is a standalone, but there are a few Easter Eggs from my previous books like Sweet Bliss and Good Catch.

Where does Talk of the Town take place?

I set Talk of the Town in the fictional town of Skagiton, but it’s inspired by the real-life town of Mount Vernon, Washington. You’ll see a lot of Pacific Northwest influences in the book. Peter’s the son of a fisherman and worked his way through college at a salmon cannery in Alaska.

Who is your favorite secondary character?

I love Joyce, Noelle’s mother-in-law. She is Noelle’s biggest champion. Joyce has a love interest in this book that causes a lot of drama.

Can you describe the book in three sentences or less?

She’s stuck in the past. He’s set on his feelings. Can they move forward together?

Do you have any books coming out next, after Talk of the Town?

Yes! I have three books coming out in 2024 from Bookouture. That series takes place in the fictional town of Sand Dollar Cove along the Pacific Ocean in Washington State. If you join my VIP reader group, Jennifer Bardsley’s Book Sneakers, you stay to date on all my book news.
